Wolf at The Door workshops and retreats are run by a group of friends within the Triratna Buddhist Order: Dayajava, Dhivan, Padmacandra, Satyadaka, Satyagita, Varasahaya and Vishvantara co-lead weekends and retreats in various combinations in the UK and further afield, while Satyalila concentrates largely on Order and other special events. Profiles of the team are here.

We are run a full yearly programme of in-person weekends and retreats, as well as online events when possible. Please see below for details concerning individual events. Please also check the websites of host Centres for updates.

A note on booking requirements: Most of our weekend events are open to complete beginners in terms of meditation, Buddhism, or the Triratna Community. However, this may vary from Centre to Centre, so please check this when you book. For our longer retreats, we do ask for experience of meditation and ritual, and often for specifically Triratna Community experience.  Such events are not aimed at beginners and include more meditation and ritual than our weekends. We need to be able to rely on retreatants having familiarity with our approach to practice, as well as with Triratna ethics and ethos, in order for the retreat to unfold harmoniously in the deepening ways we hope for. Immersion in the potent combination of personal writing and meditation in a retreat context can be challenging, and we do not wish to expose anyone to such a situation unprepared. Both our Danakosha and Rivendell retreats, for example, are specifically for Triratna regulars, as you will see whenever these are advertised.

Of course no prior writing experience is ever required.
